Northern Beaches Aboriginal Advisory Service

This project is funded jointly by the Australian and New South Wales Governments under the Home and Community Care Program (HACC).  The funding is administered by the Ageing, Disability and Home Care, Department of Human Services NSW (ADHC). 

WHAT  DOES THE COMMUNITY ADVISORY SERVICE  PROVIDE?

• Information about community care services to Aboriginal people who are ageing and/or have a disability, their carers and other service providers.
• Information and support to assist local networks and HACC services to provide care and support to Aboriginal people in a culturally respective way.
• A community resource for other service providers, GPs, acute care staff, and a range of other professionals and community members.
• Assistance in identifying local service gaps and needs and contribution to the broader planning process
• Assistance in the development of initiatives to address identified needs of local Aboriginal people within the HACC target group and their communities.
